Creating the putsal league was a great experience. Tim and I created the sport, putsal, and we made it so it wasnt just another little game. We created the rules and actually followed them. Creating putsal made me feel good because it is a sport to us. It is just like football or basketball except better because it is ours. I learn best through technology and experimenting. I like technology cause it is a lot easier to write and it lets me put out my ideas without feeling like ive told everyone in the whole world. There is so many cool thing on the internet and computers to try that can help expand my learning. I like to try these things and see which ones i like. This leads to experimentation. I like to try lots of new and old things to see which ones i like more. This helps to expand my knowledge and my knowledge of things out in the world. Out of my 9th grade teacher, i would like to have someone who cares about our learning and can teach me the things i need to know out in the world. I would like to have someone who dosent just ask questions but helps my classmates and i answer them. Someone who helps us find the answers to the questions we ask.

Why is some music so bad?

Some music on the radio these days is so bad. I just dont get why so many people listen to these bad artists. Some of the most popular bands are some of the least talented. I also dont get how they made it so far in the music industry. How do they get a big contract when they are not even very good at their instuments. I realize that a lot of people like them but they are so bad that they are hard for me to listen to. If you read this all i ask you is that next time you listen to some band really pay attention to what they sound like.

This is my sharing license and it does exactly what it says. If an item has this on it you need permission from the owner before you can use it for anything. I think this is important because some things are special and you dont want just anyone using it for something stupid. I am going to use this on everything because i dont want someone using my work that i spent a lot of time on. It is in use on this blog too, so if you want an idea or are going to use something you must ask me. The whole Bauer thing is just because Jack Bauer is the coolest guy in the world…but he will hunt you down if you dont get permission.

Lovedrug is one of my favorite bands, but i don’t think they are as popular as they deserve. That is why i am writing this post. If you read this, at least listen to them. If you don’t like them i wont get mad at you but at least try them out. By doing this i am making them a little more popular. Even if you don’t like them, now that you have read this post you know there name. If you do like them help me make them more popular by telling other people. The Putsal Season Begins

The putsal season is underway and with it came joy to the Aberdeen community. After 3 games, Aberdeen is 2-1 losing only to Ranch United. Ed is the leading goal scorer with 13 and i am close behind with 12. We were playing good for having never practiced before. The weather was perfect for putsal and the field was dry so there wasn't any slipping. We got the jerseys and they look great. They are a lot better than just wearing a regular shirt. With the extra money from the jerseys we are going to have a tournament and the winner will get the money. We are going to record the games and by the end of the year i am gonna try to make a highlight reel of all the coolest plays. If you go on to the website you can see where people have visited our website. So far only people in Denver have visited it but we are going to try to expand the game of putsal so other people know about it. We are also gonna try to make a video showing how to play it and put it on youtube and google video for everyone to see. Hopefully these steps will help make putsal more popular.

Our putsal league is coming along pretty quickly and it is very good. We are planning on having the first regular season game this saturday. It will be aberdeen vs denver. It is going to be a great game but we all know aberdeen is going to win. the website is also doing very well. Each team has there own page with news and things like that. to get on to it go to putsalsuperleague.teach-nology.com. There is some cool things on the website and if you have played putsal you can vote on the polls. The jerseys are being ordered today and they are gonna make the game really fun. Thats it for now.

Using Cell Phones for School

I think that cell phones should be allowed in school. With all the new technology that is out today cell phones should be used to their full capacity. You can use them to get on the web and study or get info. They are banned so kids dont mess around but they can be used for so many more things. The Hello is going to be like a computer that fits in your hand. i am going to get it and i want to be able to use it to help me learn. there is so many things that we could use it for that we arent able to because of the stupid rule. i say that cell phones should be allowed.

I have learned lots this year in language arts. I have also learned that getting a good grade is no where near as important as getting in on the discussion and learning how to think about things. We have been doing our blogs and that has helped us in our writing and in our thinking skills. I think i have learned more than my grade would say and i could prove it by showing some of my blogs and the way i thought about it. I have improved in my writing skills and you can see that in my blog to. I have also gotten better at my typing. Language arts has helped me in all these skills and it has been fun to.

The 24 World

I am really glad i wasn’t born in the 24 world. Although Jack Bauer is pretty much the coolest person ever I think the death rate for people in the sweetest TV show of all time is pretty high. I don’t even know how people would handle those kinds of things. Every year or two there is a major attack on the country or something to do with the country and it affects the country greatly. There is terrorist bombings and attacks and if we had one of those every year or so I think we would need to re-elect a president every year just so that they wouldn’t get so messed up. Although it is a really sweet show, I just don’t know if one person could handle that much. And Jack Bauer has pretty much been through everything. He been addicted to drugs. His heart has stopped and started again. He has been tortured by the Chinese for two years. he has pretty much been through heck and returned to tell the tale. I couldn’t handle that but whatever. Its a good thing its not real.

Overweight

Lately I have been doing a boxing class at LA Boxing and it is a really good workout. I have thought about fitness and how there are so many ways to stay fit. In this country there are a lot of overweight people. Some people that have problems and some people who just dont care that they are fat. But my question is why there are so many overweight people when there are so many ways to stay fit. There are so many types of gyms and workout places that are there to help the people that are big. So why dont these people take advantage of there opportunities to take off some pounds. There are so many gyms but there are still so many overweight people. I think that people being fat is bad and that they need to workout and lose some weight so people dont think its ok. Pretty soon people will think it is ok to be overweight and it is not. This is a problem to me and they need to fix it.

You all no about the game putsal me tim and dan made but now we are making it in to a whole league. We had a draft and there are four teams. the teams are:

Mason Dan Tim Chris

Ed Ben Jordan Michael

Ty Jason Cory Jacob

Each team has their own jersey and each team also has to pay an entry fee and that is going to be 25$. At the end of the season 1st gets 60 2nd gets 30 and 3rd gets 10. We can trade players and if it is an uneven trade you have to pay the team a trransfer fee. This will be real money and the transfer fee depends on how uneven the trade is. We are going to film the games so that the teams can study game film and so we have something to look back on at the end of the season. We are also going to keep track of stats. We will probably keep track of goals, assists, and maaybe some other things. At the end of the season everyone will vote for an MVP. At the end of the year we want to make a highlight reel of all the best plays and stuff like that. This will be one of our end products for the personal curriculum.

1. I want to learn how to manage my putsal team well and keep my team happy. this might sound kind of weird but I want to learn how to do this to see if i would want to do this as a job. This will hopefully expand my skills as a coach and a manager.
2. Create the IPSL with Tim and Dan. It is a putsal league with 4 teams.

Will Ender Save Us?

Lately I have been reading the Orson Scott Card series about Ender and Bean. They are great books that make you think. In the books Ender saves the world from aliens, and I’m just wondering if that will ever happen here in the real world. In the future if we will have someone like Ender who is a genius save the world when he is a kid with a bunch of other kid geniuses who help him. Will there ever be a “Battle School” that teaches the kids things they need to know to be a leader and to fight off the aliens. Would people make children who were smarter than them in charge. The kids have control of basically everything in the book. They control the military and sometimes even th country. Why would adults put so much trust into the kids that havent been alive for as log as them. I don’t know but if this is going to happen something drastic is going to have to happen. If this is going to happen the world is going to be a very different place.

It was another day in math class. We were still in the first week of eighth grade and math was as boring as ever and yet not boring enough to make me fall asleep. “James, you need to go do this test out in the hall.” So I did. I did the test and I wasted about half the math class. Yes! So after I was done I spent another couple of minutes out in the hall to waste some more time. I was walking back to the class room and I opened the door and all the sudden this yardstick comes flying across the room. Holy crap! The yardstick shatterd on the wall and everyone was in awe. No one was saying anything and than Bobby pushes me out of the way and storms out of the room yelling “Nazi’s”. Apparently something had gone wrong. And it was a maths mate day. Maybe he hadnt got a good grade or maybe he was just pissed off. Whatever it was we were only a week into the school year and there could much more of this.

Hello, my name is Mikey McCorbin. I like to play sports and maybe read a little bit, but if there is one thing I like to spend my time doing its selling stuff. And by stuff I mean stuff. Annoying

One day a guy was on his way to work. Another guy was walking with him. This guy was annoying him so bad that the other guy would have killed him. and the guy did about half of that and was sent to jail. The next week once he was out the guy was annoying him again but this time he ignored him and the guy doing the annoying stoped and then they went to work happy. Instead of retaliating the guy ignored him and then nothing happened except the guy stopped.

Boy Bands-Why they have ruined the world?

denalirott53 is 100% correct. Boy bands are disgusting and sickening to the mind but think what music today would be without them. We wouldn’t have the same poppy lyrics and all the sweet dance moves. I agree with him in saying that boybands are bad but music today would be a lot different without them.

I am going to buy this as soon as I save up $1299. This guitar is my dream. Its good becasue its a Gibson which is a brand. Im going to get this guitar and worship it. I dont know if you get how excitd i am but I have been saving up for a long time and I have not done a lot of fun stuff to be able to by this guitar and now I am going to get it. Its a sweet guitar that has a nice sound and a lot of diferent ways to present the sounds. I cant wait till Christmas to get some stuff to make it even better.

What is music? Is there a point to it? Or do people use it to express there feelings? I think that music is cool and i like to play it but why is it such a big part of society? How did it become that there are so many different types of music too? Thats not such a big deal but how come people have to say some music sucks. The music is what the people who made wanted it too be. So if you think that a kind of music sucks then there is probably someone who thinks your type of music sucks. Just think about that when you hear some music that you dont like.

The Addiction

You hear about people getting addicted to drugs and alchohol but what about getting addicted to Halo 2. It dosent seem possible, but it is. People play it once and never want to stop. Why do they do this? Cause they are complete idiots who think its cool to be a nerd and play video games so much until you are #1 in the world. They think its cool to sit in a basement corner until thier eyes are so bloodshot they are going blind. Why is this cool? I dont know. You think that they would want to be a jock or maybe a skater, but no. They are too cool for that. They have to be the best Halo 2 player in the school.
